Brianna Renwick has been named Recreation Programmer for the Town of Carberry, Municipality of North Cypress-Langford and associated recreation districts. You will find her at the Recreation office at 122 Main Street when her position officially commences on April 9.
Brianna is the daughter of Blair and Lori Salt and has spent her life residing in Carberry and area. She currently lives in the municipality of North Cypress-Langford with her husband Chris and their four children, Gavin (13), Aidan (11), Calin (7) and Briar (5).
She is excited to jump into her new role, strengthening relationships with members of the community and building partnerships with local organizations, the rural rec districts, Deb at Service for Seniors, Amy with the Arts Council, Community Development Officer Tricia and Grady with Parks, Facilities and Sanitation.
Her early priorities include getting new and exciting program opportunities off the ground this spring, developing the summer day camp program, meeting with the rec districts in the Municipality and surveying the public to determine interests and needs. For Brianna, recreation encompasses many aspects - sports, health, wellness and simply getting out and doing activities that a person enjoys. She looks forward to bringing forth new leisure activities for the community, and continuing with the fundamentals that have been built over the years.
“I’m very much looking forward to my new role,” says Brianna. “I’m so pleased that organizations and individuals have already been approaching me asking for assistance, sharing ideas, and by the overwhelming number of well wishes. We have a great community of people here in Carberry and the Municipality of North Cypress-Langford, and I am so honoured to get to be a part of helping our community thrive.”
