Update: Manitoba RCMP looking for missing two-year-old Austin boy

"It's a race against time, but we are not giving up."  Those were the words from Sgt. Bert Paquet from the RCMP  during an update that was given around noon today in the search for Chase Martens.

Martens was last seen last night (Tuesday, March 22) around 6:00 p.m. playing outside his home wearing a blue jacket, black splash pants, a red hat and boots that light up when he walks.

Paquet told the media that the search began last night and has not stopped, their main goal is to bring the little boy home safe and sound.  They have expanded the search area and have resources like the Winnipeg Police Service helicopter, the Manitoba RCMP plane and the Police Dog Services to help find Chase. This goes along with the several dozen Police Officers, local Fire Departments, Search and Rescue and Volunteers that are out looking for Chase. Paquet said that the aerial support was up in the air last night and earlier this morning looking for the little boy.

Paquet once again urged people that they have any information in regards to the case to contact their local police or the investigators. He said that sometimes even the smallest bit of information can help out in a big way.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Chase Martens please contact your local Police Department and help bring Chase home safe and sound.
