This Week's Photograph From the Past

Here’s the competition for last week’s team. These are “Minions’ Maulers,” and in contrast to Cox’s Cougars, who were lined up in rows, with helmets in an orderly row in front of them, these young women seem to be a much looser group – and principal John Minions doesn’t put in an appearance. It makes you wonder if the more structured group or this more egalitarian team were the more successful. From left to right, back row: Ellen Bates, Joan Thomas, Dianne Oliver, Bev Robertson, Cheryl Sobkowich, Glenda Thorpe, Lesley Harburn, Lynn Brandon, Brenda Orr, Shirley Walsh?, Sharon Fitzsimmons. Front row: Donna Ardron, Patsy Vidnes*, Evelyn Smart, Lynne Hare, Cheryl Hudson, Dorothy Beswitherick, Arlene Moffatt, Donna Finney, Joan Hardie.
*Pat says it’s not her; she graduated in ’72, and was too young for this group.
